'Mard' by Abu Sandeep brings you an exclusive menswear range from the house of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Steeped in the regal embroidery techniques that are synonymous with the brand, it features masculine fashion in a modern yet traditional sensibility. The label was launched 6 years ago during the 33rd brand anniversary of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and it has become an instant favourite among clients and celebrities alike.

Mard's garments display an abundance of embroideries that have found prominent expression in couture by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Among these are Gota, Resham, Mirror-work, Bandhani, Appliqué work and more.

Mard does not shy away from presenting menswear aesthetics in bold styles. At the same time, it honours understated elegance too. The brand has been worn by many prominent personalities like Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Hardik Pandya, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Towards the end of this month, the brand is all set to display its latest festive collection at the Fashion Design Council of India's (FDCI Fashion Week) event in New Delhi alongside 'Asal' by Abu Sandeep.

About Abu Jani:

Abu Jani was born in south Mumbai in 1960 in a Dawoodi Bohra family. His childhood inclination to sketch and draw was fostered by dyslexia - a condition that wasn't recognised back then. Ever since he was little, Abu was always drawn to the arts and paid little attention to other subjects. This inclination bloomed into massive talent that became one half of the eponymous label that is Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Abu met Sandeep in 1986 and since then, the two have redefined the world of Indian haute couture with the hypnotic allure of their combined imaginations. Abu is a man of solitude and much of his presence is felt through the sheer power of his work.

About Sandeep Khosla: 

Sandeep Khosla was born in 1963 in Kapurthala, Punjab - a former Sikh princely state. He has one sister with whom he went to Doon boarding school. Like Abu, Sandeep was always drawn to art and design and he explored it throughout his growing years.

A trip to Mumbai in 1986 led to a serendipitous encounter with Abu Jani. This became the founding moment of their eponymous label.

Sandeep was and remains an optimistic, ambitious individual. He has a penchant for honouring the grandiosity of his ideas instead of allowing others to tone them down. Alongside Abu Jani, he has created a haute couture brand that has successfully revived, restored and reinvented Indian embroidery techniques like never before.
